Prodigy Solutions Tech. ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. KillSwitch operates with a strict "Local-First, Privacy-By-Design" architecture. We do not want your data, and we designed our software so we cannot access it.

1. Zero Traffic Monitoring

KillSwitch operates entirely on your local machine using native macOS low-level network frameworks. We do NOT inspect, log, route, or sell your web browsing traffic. We do not deploy remote proxy tunnels or commercial VPNs. Your browsing history remains strictly on your device.

2. Licensing & Hardware Data

To enforce our device-limit policy and prevent piracy, we generate a cryptographic hash of your Mac's hardware identifier (UUID). This hash is stored in our Edge network solely to validate your license key. We do not store personal details beyond the email address and name provided securely during checkout via our Merchant of Record (Paddle).

3. Diagnostic Telemetry (Opt-In Only)

KillSwitch includes a "Report Bug" feature. Diagnostic logs (containing non-PII system state, OS version, app version, and daemon status) are ONLY transmitted when explicitly triggered by you. We use this data strictly to resolve technical anomalies. Diagnostic logs are transmitted via encrypted webhooks to our private engineering infrastructure. By clicking 'Report Bug', you explicitly consent to transmitting your system's network configuration names and file paths.

4. Contact & GDPR Compliance

If you wish to exercise your "Right to be Forgotten" and have your license and associated email wiped from our database (which will permanently revoke your access to the software), contact our Data Protection Officer at help@prodigysolutions.tech.

End-User License Agreement (EULA) & Network Terms

By checking the agreement box on our purchase page, downloading, installing, or executing KillSwitch Focus ("Software"), you enter into a legally binding contract with Prodigy Solutions Tech. By agreeing to these Terms, you grant full, explicit authorization for all system, kernel, and network operations detailed herein. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

1. Explicit Authorization for Low-Level Network & System Operations

You expressly acknowledge and authorize the Software to execute with elevated administrative privileges (via macOS LaunchDaemon) to modify local operating system networking parameters. This includes:

• Injecting strict drop-rules directly into the macOS networking subsystem.
• Isolating and filtering network queries through a secure, encrypted local engine to prevent bypasses.
• Disabling non-whitelisted tunnel interfaces to prevent browser-based focus bypasses.

You certify that these actions are voluntarily initiated by you to enforce digital discipline. You explicitly agree that these operations do NOT constitute unauthorized computer access, impairment, denial-of-service, or ransomware under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the UK Computer Misuse Act, or any international cybercrime statutes.

Warning on Anti-Tampering: You acknowledge that attempting to sabotage the Software (e.g., Force Quitting background processes, deleting the app, revoking permissions) during an active lockdown will permanently cut off your internet connection. You must use the official 'Walk of Shame' unlock mechanism via the User Interface to safely restore your network.

2. Licensing Model (OS-Pinned Perpetual License)

The Software is licensed, not sold. Your purchase grants you a Perpetual Fallback License, meaning you retain the right to use the version of the Software you purchased forever. However, this perpetual right applies exclusively to the macOS versions the Software was originally certified for.

Because the Software interacts with deep OS network internals, it is "OS-Pinned" for your safety. Running outdated versions of the Software on future, unreleased macOS architectures can cause catastrophic system instability (Kernel Panics). Therefore, the Software will actively block its own execution on incompatible future macOS versions.

Your purchase includes 1 full year of free software updates and new macOS compatibility patches. After this 1-year window, to run the Software on a newer major macOS release, you must purchase a discounted renewal to access a safely compatible version.

3. Zero Support for Emergency Services & High-Risk Environments

CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: THE SOFTWARE CANNOT AND MUST NOT BE USED ON DEVICES RESPONSIBLE FOR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS OR LIFE-SAVING FUNCTIONS.

You acknowledge that active lockdown sessions intentionally disrupt internet-based communications, including Wi-Fi Calling, VoIP services (FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp), emergency dispatch systems, and remote medical telemetry. Prodigy Solutions Tech strictly disclaims any express or implied warranty of fitness for High-Risk Activities. We accept ZERO liability for any personal injury, death, property damage, or emergency response failures resulting from your intentional use of the Software.

4. Corporate & Enterprise Device Restrictions

You warrant that you own the hardware on which the Software is installed, or have obtained explicit written consent from your organization's IT/Security department. You are strictly prohibited from installing this Software on corporate-managed devices (MDM) where network filtering may conflict with corporate security software (e.g., Zscaler, Cisco AnyConnect, GlobalProtect, SentinelOne). You agree to bear 100% of the legal and financial liability for any organizational security breaches, data isolation issues, or employment terminations resulting from installing this Software on enterprise equipment.

5. Limitation of Liability (Absolute Financial Cap)

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PRODIGY SOLUTIONS TECH, ITS FOUNDERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE CORRUPTION, NETWORK OUTAGES, MISSED COMMERCIAL DEADLINES, OR PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE LICENSE ($49 USD OR $89 USD).

6. Technical Fail-Safe & Anti-Ransomware Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that the Software is an opinionated digital wellbeing tool and provides a deterministic, local-first Emergency Rescue Mechanism ("The Walk of Shame") that allows immediate deactivation of the firewall without paying any ransom, fee, or third-party interaction. The requirement to type an acknowledgment phrase is an agreed-upon psychological friction barrier, not an extortion mechanism.

7. Governing Law & Mandatory Binding Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be settled exclusively through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). You expressly waive any right to initiate or join any class action lawsuit or collective arbitration against Prodigy Solutions Tech.

EU/UK Exception: For users residing in the European Union or United Kingdom, this arbitration clause may not apply to you. You retain the right to bring claims in your local courts under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.

14-Day Refund Policy

Strict Technical Compatibility Guarantee

KillSwitch delivers a permanent, un-pauseable hardware-level network filter. Due to the perpetual nature of the core license, refunds are NOT granted for "buyer's remorse" or psychological discomfort. Refunds are strictly limited to verifiable technical failures.

1. Eligible Scenarios for a 100% Refund:

• The software physically fails to run on your officially supported macOS version (macOS 12.0+).
• A kernel-level conflict causes severe OS instability (Kernel Panics) directly attributable to our network engine.
• You have submitted diagnostic logs to help@prodigysolutions.tech, and our engineering team cannot provide a patch or workaround within 48 business hours.

2. Explicitly NON-Refundable Scenarios:

• Lack of Discipline: "The app is too strict," "I couldn't pause it," or "I didn't want to type the Walk of Shame phrase."
• Ignorance of Design: "I didn't know it would block YouTube/Twitter/VPNs." (This is literally the core marketed feature).
• Third-Party Interference: Your corporate IT administrator, antivirus, or unsupported Commercial VPN (e.g., NordVPN, ExpressVPN) blocks KillSwitch from functioning.
• Self-Sabotage: You intentionally deleted system files or modified LaunchDaemons trying to cheat the app, breaking your own installation.

3. Refund Process:

If you meet the technical eligibility criteria, email help@prodigysolutions.tech with your Paddle Order ID and diagnostic logs. Approved refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record (Paddle) and will return to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Upon refund, your license key is cryptographically destroyed and permanently banned.
